Won’t you spend your holiday not only among tourists but also in a quarter where you can find the ordinary roman life? And won’t you anyway fastly achieve the most famous sights and the historical center? Then I would recommend you the apartment Monteverde: it’s located, as the name says, in Monteverde, one of the most popular dwelling zones among the romans because on the one hand quiet and green, on the other hand close to the center. Life in this quarter is cheaper than directly in the center, what you can notice by shopping at the near daily market at Piazza San Giovanni di Dio, but also by eating out at the surrounding pizzerias, trattorias and restaurants, between which a few are absolutely advisable. Besides, in a few minutes you can achieve the old Trastevere, which develops more and more into a hip quarter, but anyway didn’t lose anything of his particular romance.
For all of you who love to jog: not far there is one of the largest parks of Rome, Villa Pamphili, where you can find special alleys for joggers, but you can also take long promenades on several hectares of land, if you want to escape once from the big city atmosphere. In the same way you can achieve the famous promenade “Passeggiata del Gianicolo” with amazing forecasts above the center of Rome, especially by sunset and by night an experience!
The apartment Monteverde is cozy and bright, located in a dapper “palazzo condominiale” on the second floor (an elevator is available for the all up 3 floors).
Shops and restaurants are within walking distance (a café in only ca. 20m), busses and tramways for Trastevere and for the historical center are holding on the next corner. When you arrive by railway or airplane you can achieve the house comfortably by the public means of transport; the famous market Porta Portese is afar only 3 tramway stations. The car can be parked in the street in front of the house (without parking tax).
The apart and spacious commonhold flat (ca. 70 sqm) offers a big and bright living-dining room with sofa bed, TV and 2 exits to a corner balcony, large bedroom with double and extra bed, kitchen with dining corner (in March 2011 completely renewed, gas stove with electric oven, fridge/freezer) and a large bathroom (with bathtub, hair-dryer is available); central heating.
The equipment is dapper and comfortable.
