ANISKA - APARTMENTS, STUDIOS - KARDAMYLI (MANI), GREECE Small, quiet, family and Greek-Canadian lead estate directly at the ocean with breakfast (possibility); 24 studios (one-room – apartments plus bathroom with shower) and vacation apartment (those at the neighboring estate with pool, made out of 24 studies and apartments) in three homes; suitable for 2 – 4 people; sizes of 42 – 50 qm; quiet location; parking spaces; balconies or patios; telephone; ceiling fan and air conditioning; large covered joined patio – breakfast patio; very friendly service; electric door safety; small garden estate; ocean entrance via a ladder or directly at the beach; reception; small library; lounge room with SAT-TV. The apartments Aniska are located on a small cul-de-sac amidst the charming Mani town Kardamyli (outer Mani). The small apartment estate consists out of 24 apartments and studios, suitable for 2 – 4 guests. The apartments area spread on 3 smaller buildings on the ground floor and the second floor as well as an additional small Hotel with pool (will be described later on). We have just few of vacation domicile in Greece present , especially in the less known Mani, but with those we have already a circle of regular guests who travel every year since 1992 to the homes. This is not surprising, since the stay here is impressed by the hearty hospitality of both owners, Anna and Fotis as well as by the truly comfortable equipment of the studios and apartments. My wife and myself discovered this idyllic estate on our departure to Kalamata coming from Mani, where we spend our vacation. We had the urge to relax and to extend our vacation for some additional days. We walked through Kardamyli, since it was recommended to us and we read about it. During a brief stop at the ocean, we basically fell over the small estate. We immediately became renters, particularly since we did not feel like staying in a Hotel and we did not want to buy breakfast stuff. Our choice turned out to be a success and we instantly started a chat with the employees at the reception. After a brief explanation about the feeding habits of the sheep’s, we were introduced to Fotis, who originally came from Kardamyli but then traveled for years the world and eventually met in Canada his wife Anna. However, after years of traveling, Fotis decided in 1992, to come back to his home to live a quiet and happy life with his family. Now the vacation domicile, close to the ocean, was created. Fotis is always glad to share his knowledge about the surroundings with his guests to create the most pleasant stay. Anna and Fotis have always enough time to chat with the guests at the breakfast patio at the beach. They like to give advise (Fotis help to publicize the hiking routes) and like to help choosing the most beautiful hiking routes (you will get a hiking map upon request). The vacation estate consists out of 24 apartments and studios with a size of 42 – 50 qm. The rental units are spread over three buildings that lay beside each other amidst a small garden estate with trees (palm, fruit, olives) and various flowers. All apartments are very cozy, comfortable, well maintained and light. They all include good furniture, back friendly mattresses and hold kitchen with refrigerator, freezer unit, 4-plate stove, sink, kitchen cabinets, table and chairs and cabinets with sufficient storage space, double bed with bedside table/ lamp, telephone and a patio or balcony with view over the ocean and the garden or the ocean and the mountains. The rooms include air-conditioning, a ceiling fan and all rooms have a bathroom with shower. Daily room service is a given. The studios offer sufficient space for two additional beds for children. The large, covered patio is positioned frontal to the ocean and invites their guests for breakfasts with fresh bread, coffee, eggs, joghurt with honey, ham, cheese... everything that your heart might desires. You get also during the day snacks (Meze) and cool beverages. Adjoined the patio is the community room of the main building, where you can find the SAT-TV and a bar. Below the patio are the lounge chairs with umbrellas and from there you can also enter the ocean. Because of its central location, you will not necessary need a car, since everything what you might need for a peaceful stay can easily be reached in a short distance. Kardamyli holds one of the most pretty restaurants directly at the ocean, two of them just in a distance of 2 minutes. The distance to smaller beaches (pebble and sand beaches) amounts just 5 – 10 minutes. Below the estate is a rock beach. |
