Activities: several hiking possibilities. In winter, skiing in Madesimo, 13 km from Chiavenna, or in St. Moritz (Corvatsch skiing area 50km from Chiavenna). In summer swimming in Novate Mezzola or in the lake Como (20 km). 2 rivers stream through Chiavenna: Liro arising from Splügen and Mera arising from Maloja. A biking trail from Engadin to Gordona is being constructed – partly it’s already ridable and it conducts through amazing countrysides.
