"L' Alcova" is a historic residence dating back to X century, belonged to the "Noble" of this place and he was also in possession of "Baglio Isonzo", an ancient and typical Sicilian construction, once a rural site where in the past the social life of certain group of people mostly formed by families was performed. The house is situated in the village of Scopello, only at about 500m in the direct line from the sea and from the ancient "Tonnara" ( ancient tuna fishing) called by Greeks "Cetaria".
This territory has some particular fascination for its natural beauty: crystal waters and characterized "Faraglioni" cliffs emerged from the sea waters, make this area very precious.
 
The house has retained the traditional connotations of the time in which it was conceived and these details make it unique. Indeed, the antic ceilings called "Volte" and the kitchen with the typical Sicilian "Maioliche" were restructured , also was recreated "L'Alcova", antic bedroom of the owner's house. The house can be accessed through "Baglio" and the private garden , that is like a natural terrace with the view on "Faraglioni" and "Tonnara" of Scopello Bay. The Natural context of "Baglio" characterized by Mediterranean vegetation as "Macchia Mediterranea", high rocky coast, transparent sea waters, and air of the history that you can feel inside the house, brings the observer back in the past. "L'Alcova" today, while retaining its original integrity, has been transformed into elegant and full of charm sophisticated residence, and comfortably accommodate 6 persons. Created atmosphere of the house gives the guest a chance to live in a historic house but at the same time to have all necessary comforts and facilities.
 
The residence is composed by three double bedrooms, one of them is a suit with en-suit bathroom. The suit is a very spacious, the furniture consists of some antique and precious objects, that make environment more unique. The third bedroom is got styled in so called "alcova" with its colour and furniture, which made it different from other houses. The dinning zone spacious and comfortable with the angle for conversations, it is also adjacent to the terrace and garden, with the sight to a splendid panorama where the sun seems emerging from the sea and everything harmonizes with beauty of the nature. In the spacious garden there is a barbeque area, perfect for meals in the open.There are two comfortable bathrooms with shower and external laundry room.The parking area is available in a courtyard of the house.
 
The nice position of this apartment gives the possibility to visit different sightseeing and archeological sites such as Palermo, Castellammare del Golfo, Scopello, Segesta, Erice, Selinunte, Marsala, Agrigento. "L'Alcova" is 45km from Trapani and Palermo airport. The nearest city is Castellammare Del Golfo, it is about 5km from Scopello.
In the village ("Baglio") it is possible to do shopping as there are some shops and restaurants, where you can taste delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
Indeed, the courtyard of "Baglio" characterized by the presence of restaurants, wine bars, pottery shops and clothing stores. These entertainments will make your stay in "Baglio" more comfortable and joyful, as it is in immediate vicinity from the house. But if you want an absolute privacy, "L'Alcova" has a separate entrance and private garden for enjoying intimacy and also beauty of the sea.
