Just approx. 3km to the Komo-beach - a deserted sandbeach of the finest manner, sandbeach for miles, with romantic sunsets and longlasting sunset glow.
Approx. 3km from Matala; famous for its caves with marvellous bay for swimming. Nightlife: original bars directly at the sea.
Village of Pitsidia:
Rent-a-car/motorbike ( it is recommended to hire a vehicle!), horse stable (riding on the beach), special shops (leather, blankets)
Neighbourhood:
Archeology, numerous characteristic villages (Kamilari, Sivas, Pombia, Kouses, Kalamaki). Trout culture in Zaros (lake, restaurants, hiking possibilities).
Lentas: small place at the sea with marvellous beach for swimming. Aghio Farako: holy canyon with dreamlike, deserted beach.
tips:
Hiking in the olive groves, snorkelling in Komo beach, museum of local history in Vori, market in Mires, artichokes from March-May, pomegranate from October-November, beach weather untill November.
Journey there: book a flight to Heraklion/Crete. On request I send you a taxi ( EUR 41) which takes you to the front door of the house. Then you rent a car in the place.Or you rent a car during all the holidays,that you get from the airport. It is also possible to journey there by ferry and private car.
