| Description |
The hills which rise from the banks of the Arno stretching out into the Chianti countryside present a gentle aspect to the eyes of the traveller. Roads lined on either side by ancient olive trees connect the villages within an exceptionally pleasant and serene landscape. Poggio del Mandorlo is situated at the top of one of these hills, in a superbly tranquil position, enclosed in an estate of 17 hectares. After careful recent renovation, the house has been furnished with excellent quality period items in a typical Tuscan style, and equipped with a multitude of accessories which make it extremely comfortable and ideal for a relaxing holiday: billiard table, three satellite TVs, one with video-recorder, and Hi Fi system. Poggio del Mandorlo is situated about 4 km from Lastra a Signa, where it is possible to find all essential services: shops, supermarkets, banks and post office, while the centre of Florence is just 15 km away. Convenient road links place the property within easy reach of all the major cultural centres of Tuscany, while Livorno and the Tyrrhenian beaches are only an hour away by car.
