The hills around Montefiridolfi are some of the most attractive and interesting in the whole of the Chianti Classico region, and Montelodoli, an old farmhouse that has been divided into six apartments, lies at the heart of this area in a tranquil and panoramic position. It is part of the large estate called Fattoria Villa S. Andrea, which extends over 600 hectacres in the Chianti Classico region. Ginestra 1 and Ginestra 2 are on the ground floor and have independant entrances with access straight from the garden. They have been furnished with excellent taste and an eye for maintaining the typical look of the house, and are equipped with: central heating, dish-washer, satellite TV, safe, microwave oven and useful accessories in the kitchen. On the outside, in the large panoramic garden which offers a view of the chianti countryside, guests can use the swimming-pool which is shared with the other apartments, and areas furnished for relaxing outside, sunbathing area and barbecue. In the attractive main buildings of the farm, which is about 1 km away, you can go on a guided visit of the wine-cellars, taste wine, and buy high-quality wine and olive-oil. Close-by are tennis courts and riding-centres, and last but not least there are several restaurants in the area offering excellent tuscan cuisine. Florence and Siena are easy to reach and are respectively 20 and 40 kms away. Less than an hour away by car are some of the most interesting towns and villages in the chianti area.
