THE WONDERFUL SEA OF MONOPOLI.Villa Don Giovanni was born with a family background: a well-off grandfather who builds its beautiful summer house in order to escape the oppressive heat of his own town, Monopoli. Like all the Gentleman of two hundreds years ago, he escapes the heat, the sultriness, the south-east wind that comes from the sea. in order to rest where the nature is more welcoming under the shade of olive trees, oaks and secular Mediterranean pines. In fact the Cozzana area is located on a beautiful hill near Monopoli, cooled by summer winds, at the same time is very close to the sea. The architecture of this house shows essential elements of the late eighteenth century but elements of the "Italian Liberty" are also easily recognizable due to a following restoration work done on the first ten , twenty years of nineteenth century. In 2005 this beautiful structure has been renovated in the full respect of the tradition and its artistic beauty. The villa is reachable through a nice tree-lined path of pines which ends to a wide courtyard in front of the entrance hall, where our guests can see immediately the typical liberty style patio used in the past for reading and embroidery . Continuing towards the most ancient part of the villa, our guests reach the farmyard originally used for the stables. Here we give for rent two magnificent apartments and three studio apartments wholly furnished and with independent bathrooms. Each unit has independent entrance and its own space outside with garden furniture. For our guests there is also a private parking area inside the park at about 70 meters from the villa. The magnificent garden that surrounds our villa and the main veranda are also available for all our guests.
