Lascours is a very small village perched on a hill, surrounded by vineyards and with a view of the Mont Bouquet in the distance. It is 2km outside Cruviers-Lascours, where there is a small shop, a Mairie, a tennis court and a post office. It is approximately 20 kms from Uzès, one of the most picturesque towns in Southern France. Also at a distance of 22 km is the ancient Roman town of Nimes, which contains several well-preserved antiquities (arena, temple and baths) as well as chic shopping in the pedestrian-only old town. The village of Lascours has no shops and very narrow roads, so there is very limited traffic. A bread van delivers daily and a meat van calls once or twice a week. The houses are located right in the heart of the oldest part of the village, annexed to the chateau.
