Goult is a village in the Luberon, situated between Cavaillon and Apt, 40km from Avignon. It lies amongst orchards, acres of vines and lavender fields in a market garden area of the Luberon, conjuring up images of bright colours and the scent of rosemary and thyme, long hot days and afternoon siestas with only the sound of cigales disturbing the peace. The village church of Saint-Sébastien is pure Romanesque, guarding the village is a huge windmill and above it is the lovely old village, lovingly restored by local artisans in the spirit of Provence. From here, breathtaking views sweep across to other villages in the distance; Gordes, Roussillon, Saint Pantaléon and Joucas, Lacoste and Ménerbes.
