The apartment IL CIPRESSO is situated on the country-seat Il Poggio, an wine-producing estate with 17 apartments in 4 historcal mansions and 3 cottages, about 20 km direction north-west of San Gimignano. All other Tuscan sights you can reach easily.

An old cypress alley ist the distinctive mark of the estate.Enjoy the tranquility and the unique surroundings of Il Poggio amidst vineyards and olivtrees. The panorama is incomparably beautiful. Externally, the buildings have preserved their historical character. However, their interiors have been renovated with care. The apartments are all furnished with typical Tuscany country -style furnitures and are comfortably equiped. You will find a complete furnished kitchen with enough dishes, every apartment has SAT-TV, deckchairs, table and chairs on the terrace and a parasol. A common washingmachine can be used.

The estate has a large swimmingpool (20 x 10 m) with a separate pool for children. From here you have a unique view over the hill scenery. You also will find a tennis- and volleyballcourt for your sport activities as well as table tennis and boccia possibilities. You can also rent mountainbikes. Those who like hiking can start directly from the estate towards the surrounding vineyards, forests and hills. Horse riding opportunities are in about 4 km distance, a golf course is in Castelfalfi which is approximately 13 km from the estate. You can also attend cooking lessons or Italian language lessons. Also you can order continental or Italian breakfast.

The estate is about 5 walking minutes from the village Sughera. Here you can do your daily shopping in the shop of Signor Fossetti and enjoy good and cheap typical meals. Other restaurants are only a few miles away, for example in the vaults of the old monastery San Vivaldo.

You can buy wine, olivoil, corn and saffron which are still produced on the estate.
