On y accède par voiture (autoroute A50, sortie La Cadière), par train (gare de Toulon) ou par avion (aéroport de Marseille-Marignane).Outre les baignades en piscine et en mer, les environs se prètent particulièrement bien aux promenades à travers pinèdes et collines, à la pratique du vélo et de l'équitation, et aux visites de sites historiques et panoramiques. La région abonde en domaines viticoles (AOC Bandol) et ateliers de poterie.Dans la petite ville du Beausset, à 4 km de la maison, on trouve quasiment tout: magasins de tout genre, supermarchés, poste, banques, maison de la presse, cafés et restaurants, médecins et pharmacies. Un grand marché y a lieu tous les vendredis. Au club de tennis, on peut louer des courts à l'heure.Dans un rayon de une à deux heures de voiture on visite les plus beaux sites et villes de Provence tels que la Camargue, Arles, les Baux, Avignon, le Lubéron et Aix-en-Provence. La maison est équipée d'un chauffage central.The house, an ancient farmhouse which has been entirely renovated, sits on a soft hill overlooking the vineyards, in a quiet, rural area 10 km from the Mediterranean sea, roughly midway between the cities of Toulon and Marseille. One can get there by car (Freeway A50, exit at La Cadière), by TGV train (Toulon main station) or by plane (Marseille-Marignane airport).In addition to the beaches and the swimming pool, the region provides for plenty of good hiking, bicycling, horseback riding and sight-seeing. There are many good wine estates (appellation d’origine contrôlée « Bandol ») and pottery workshops to visit nearby.In the town of Le Beausset, 4 km from the house, one finds practically everything: all kinds of shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, a post office, banks, a bookshop, doctors and drug stores. On Friday mornings there is a big food- and clothing market at the town square. At the nearby tennis club, courts can be rented by the hour.The most beautiful sites of Provence such as the Camargue, Arles, les Baux, Avignon, the Lubéron and Aix-en-Provence are within one to two hours’ drive from the house. In summer, there are many fine music and theatre festivals in the region.The very spacious house is surrounded by a big, shady terrace, a garden with tall cypress trees, the swimming pool (10m x 4m) with its lawn and an alley for playing «boules». It is for rent all year long and can sleep up to 10 persons.
