Villa Matrella Maratea is a corner of paradise in the south of the Campania region, down the coast below Amalfi and Cilento, an oasis offering a stretch of coastline of rare and evocative beauty, with rich vegetation all the way down to the sea and a long succession of inlets and sandy beaches. Villa le Agavi The east coast of Sicily is dominated by the presence of Mount Etna, the volcano that has always conditioned and moulded the contours of the landscape and the weather conditions of the whole stretch of coast from Catania to Taormina, where you can follow a procession of attractive villages lying on the coast of black lava. Villa le Agavi is up in the hills of Acireale, near the village of S. Venerina, in a wonderful position with a superb view, with the hill sloping gently down to the sea, through olive trees and colourful lemon groves. Behind the villa rises the imposing shape of Mount Etna. Limonaia di Maiori La Limonaia di Maiori is a modern villa designed by a famous architect whose genius is most effectively expressed in the fact that, while he built it using means and materials available in the '60s, he took his inspiration from the traditional construction procedures and techniques of the area. Even more impressive is the way in which he has managed to design the house so that the sea is visible from every room. When we arrive at the villa, we are overwhelmed by a sensation of perfect peace and quiet; the green of the vegetation, the yellow of the lemons which ripen all year round, and the blue of the sea are the dominant colours, while the house itself is immersed in the surrounding vegetation, so that it is almost invisible from outside. Villa Orizzonte You will find Villa Orizzonte in a little bay about 3 kms from Positano, in a unique situation for its convenience and position compared to most of the other houses in the area.
