Ferienwohnung The apartment is situated in the old Sperlonga, on the rock in the middle of the place, on the two upper floors of an old house. The apartment has totally been renovated and is comfortably furnished. On the one floor you have entry, kitchen, shower/toilet, on the upper floor living/diningroom, bedroom with 2 single beds. It is possible to change the sofa in the livingroom into a doublebed. TV, radio, CD-player and a small library with information of the numerous excursion possibilities are there.Theres is no terrace nor balcony. From the windows you enjoy the view to a wonderful ancient church, to the mountains and the old alleys. If the wind is whispering, you can hear the melody of the sea in the bedroom.Sperlonga itself is one of the most beautiful places at the coast of the tyrrhennic sea, situated on a rock on 60 m above sealevel. With its white houses and its numerous alleys and stairs and pittoresque corners it is a very lovely and charming place with a romantic athmosphere.There are no cars allowed in the old town, but there are different carparks outside the little town, partially guarded.The little shops with fresh vegetables, fruits, bred and meat as well as the freh fish and seafood are a real pleasure.At the foot af the rock, on the west side, there is Sperlonga mare, the modern part of the city. A long sandy beach invites for extended walks. Sunlovers and swimmers prefer the " Angolo inlet" at the east side, which is very beautiful.Sperlonga became famous because of the "grottos of Tiberius". For visitors who are interested in history the museeum is a must. In the neigbourhood of Sperlonga destinations like Gaeta and Terracina are worth an excursion - both places are achievable by bus or car within 20 min.For an excursion to Rome or Naples you need one day ( train each hour in both directions).
