| This nice holiday home was a former farmhouse which was divided into three tiny apartments, each had a little kitchen with a fire place and two bedrooms. The farmhouse or "Monte" was reconstructed in the original way, the floors and walls were kept original. The three little apartments were put together, creating one spacious farm house with two new bathrooms (shower), an open kitchen dining area and a small living room with fire place and satelite TV. All together the house has 6 bedrooms, 5 double bedrooms and one single bedroom. However, due to the size of the beds (width and length), the house is only suitable for maximum 8 persons, including two persons sleeping in the normal sized bunk bed. The kitchen is very rustic, and the living room simple. This holiday home is an original country house which has basic interior provisions, but a fantastic exterior as for example a beautiful and well taken care of garden, a big pool, a private tennis court, a splended view onto the village and the castle of Estremoz. The holiday home "Monte Mariano" is located in absolut silence and in the middle of the vineyard, where the grapes ripe to make the red wine "Encosta de Estremoz" and "Dona Joana". The village Estremoz itself is an ideal starting point to explore the Alentejo region, as it is only half an hour drive from the roman cities Évora and Elvas, the spanish border, or other beautyful excursion targets as "Monte Évora" or "Monsaraz". |
