Villa in a pine-wood with 1400 sqm garden, 100 m from a white sandy beach and turquoise sea. Well equipped home and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The perfect relaxation holiday.
Alma is a two floors villa. Fitting local style the windows and verandas are framed by granite stones. It is surrounded by a garden well established with the typical sardinian flora: from the shady pine trees, to scenting oleander and myrtle. Hidden inside green bushes, there is shower; washboard and barbecue. The beach is 100 mt away by a nice walk under the pines. For an aerial view, look at Google Earth (Villa Alma coordinates: 40° 26' 12.51'' North , 9°46' 43.26'' East).
Villa Alma is shared out between two apartments only (both on two floors) each with a big garden: the east facing is for personal use only and not for rent, the west facing is for my guests. This choice is rare near the sea: people prefers to exploit to the utmost their property. The privacy is perfect: even the the entrance to the garden is separate (there are two gates). In the garden all the facilities are duplicated: you have your own shower, your own wash board, your own clothes line, your own parking lot.
Beside the covered veranda, an aired place good for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the doorway leads to an open space with kitchen, dining area, fireplace, living area with TV and sofabed. An internal staircase leads to the first floor where you find two large bedrooms with double beds (cot also available). Beside the bedrooms there is the bathroom (with shower, wash basin, bidet and WC). Built in cupboards of walnut tree complete the furnishing.
Minimarket, restaurant, tennis surfing within 5 minute stroll from Villa Alma. Within a range of 1 Km you find supermarket and other excellent restaurant.
Cala Liberotto is a small enclave in the gulf of Orosei (east coast of Sardinia).
The gulf 's morphology offers a rich variety of forms: from long beaches of finest sand, to cliffs of pink rocks, bordered by pinaster, juniper and myrtle. The sea is crystal clear with turquoise nuance. The place is calm, ideal for family or rest. Orosei has also an interesting historical centre and nuragic ruins, enigmatic conic buildings of the megalithic period. The gulf of Orosei, that will soon turn into a sea park, is the perfect image of an island full of nature.
The wild region around the gulf, where you can find the wild boar, is attractive for hikers, nature lovers and rock climbers. The coastal line, populated by marsh birds, grey herons and even the marvellous flamingos, asks for bird watching. Some inaccesible beaches of the gulf are connected by regular boat trips from Orosei and Cala Liberotto. Crystal clear waters are a paradise for scuba divers. There are many diving schools for beginners. Wind surfing is also a quite popular sport. In many characteristic farms or restaurants you can taste the local cuisine.
Sardinia, the second largest island placed in the midst of the Mediterranean, is one of the most beautiful places in the world. With over 1800 Km of coastline and its wild landscapes attracts many visitors from all the Europe. The sun shines all year long, the weather is mild with an average of ten degrees centigrades in winter. Local cuisine, very different from the other regions of Italy, has the scent of charcoal and the aromatic flavours of myrtle and juniper. The island produces also superb grapes and renowned wines as Cannonau, intense red colour, or Vermentino, pale yellow. The first vivid impression after landing is the perfume of mediterranean shrub: this largely unspoilt region is a dream for nature lovers. "Extraordinary how the healthy, moor-like hills come near the sea extraordinary how scrubby and uninhabited the great spaces of Sardinia are. It is wild, with heath and arbutus scrub and a sort of myrtle, breast-high. Sometimes one sees a few head of cattle. And then again come the greyish arable-patches, where the corn is grown. It is like Cornwall, like the Land's End region." - D.H.Lawrence, 'Sea and Sardinia' |
