La Tortue The house "La Tortue" lies on the slope at the border of the Lago Maggiore facing the islands of Brissago. It was built at the start of the 19th century and was completely renovated in spring 2001. It consists of two storeys with place for 8 persons.Groundfloor: open kitchen with ceramic stove, refrigderator, freezer and dish-washer, WC / shower, a living room with fire-place and a couch. Veranda to the garden.First floor: 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds and 1 with 2 beds). The bedroom to the west has an access to the terrace and view on the lake. The bathroom has a tub which can be used as shower, a cupboard and a sinkTo make your stay easier the following things are at your disposal: a washing machine, a TV set with satellite, a stereo set as well as chairs and a table for the garden.The parking is 100m away.The village of Scaiano is 5 minutes on foot away from Caviano at the extreme south of the «Gambarogno». Both villages are typical for the «Ticino», with cool lanes and warm inhabitants. In Caviano are a food shop, a post office and a restaurant. The italian border is only a few hundred meters away, the market of Luino (15 minutes by car) is very well known. Excursions are possible in every way (by foot, car, ship, helicopter etc.). The towns of Locarno and Ascona can be reached in 25 minutes by car, the town of Lugano within 40 minutes.Casa "La Tortue" est située sur le versant est des bords du Lac Majeur en face des îles de Brissago. Cette construction date du début du XIXe siècle. Complètement rénovée au printemps 2001, cette maison est composée de deux étages et peut accueillir jusqu'à huit personnes.Le premier étage (rez-de-chaussée) compte une cuisine agencée (cuisinière vitrocéram, frigo-congélateur et lave-vaiselle), un salon avec cheminée, un WC-douche et une véranda donnant sur le jardin. Le salon comporte également un canapé-lit de deux places.Le deuxième étage comporte trois chambres à coucher, une grande terrasse et une salle de bains. Deux des chambres comportent un lit français et la troisième un lit-gigogne (deux places également). La chambre donnant à l'ouest s'ouvre sur le lac et sur la terrasse. Quant à la salle de bain, elle se compose d'une grande baignoire qui peut également servir de douche, ainsi qu'une armoire murale et d'un lavabo.Sont également à disposition afin de faciliter votre séjour et le rendre agréable une machine à laver le linge, une TV avec relais satellite, une chaîne stéréo, ainsi que le matériel usuel de jardin (Chaises longues, table et chaises).Le parking est situé à environ 100 mètres de la maison.Le village de Scaiano se situe à quelques 5 minutes à pied du village de Caviano, à l'extrême sud du Gambarogno. Ils représentent tous deux l'archétype du village tessinois. Vous y trouverez chaleur auprès des habitants et fraîcheur dans les ruelles. Caviano comporte une épicerie, une poste et un restaurant. La frontière italienne (Dirinella) se situe à quelques centaines de mètres et le marché de Luino (15 minutes en voiture) est très réputé. Les excursions sont possibles sous toutes les formes (pied, voiture, bateau, hélicoptère, etc.). Les villes de Locarno et Ascona se situent à quelques 25 minutes en voiture.
